v16 v17 3 3 [[TOC(Hardware, Hardware/fDevices,Hardware/fDevices/gUSRP*, depth=5)]] 4 4 5 [[Image(Deployed URSP2.jpg,width=200)]] 5 [[Image(Deployed URSP2.jpg,width=200,title="Figure 1: USRP mounting",align=right)]] 6 7 Majority of SDR devices in ORBIT grid are various generations of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Software_Radio_Peripheral Universal Software Radio Peripherals (USRP)] . Each USRP, whether USB or Ethernet based, is attached to [wiki:Hardware/hNodes/cNodeVer3 genration 3 node] and is physically located on a small shelf immediately underneath the node as shown in Figure 1. In case of USRP devices, the USB interface is attached to one of the USB2 ports on a corresponding node. For USRP2s (and N210s), the Ethernet interface of each device is connected to a (third) dedicated Ethernet interface on the node (eth2) that is used solely for USRP related communication. The nodes with USRP devices are distributed through the grid as shown in the [wiki:Hardware/fDevices/gUSRP#grid deployment table]. In addition to grid deployment two sandboxes are available for development: [wiki:Hardware/bDomains/cSandboxes/cSB3 sandbox3] is equipped with [wiki:Hardware/fDevices/gUSRP#sb3 two USRP2s], while [wiki:Hardware/bDomains/cSandboxes/eSB5 sanbox5] has [wiki:Hardware/fDevices/gUSRP#sb5 two USRPs] attached. 8 6 9 7 10 ==== USRP ==== 8 11 9 |||| [[Image(USRP Photo.jpg, width= 400)]] ||12 |||| [[Image(USRP Photo.jpg, width=300, height=300)]] || 10 13 || Vendor || [http://www.ettus.com/ Ettus Research] || 11 14 || Device || [https://www.ettus.com/product/details/USRP-PKG USRP] || … … 14 17 || Driver || [http://code.ettus.com/redmine/ettus/projects/uhd/wiki/UHD_Linux UHD] || 15 18 16 ==== USRP2 ====19 ==== USRP2/USRP N210 ==== 17 20 18 |||| [[Image(USRP2 Photo.jpg, width= 400)]] ||21 |||| [[Image(USRP2 Photo.jpg, width=300)]] || 19 22 || Vendor || [http://www.ettus.com/ Ettus Research] || 20 || Device || [https://www.ettus.com/product/details/USRP-PKG USRP ] ||23 || Device || [https://www.ettus.com/product/details/USRP-PKG USRP2 / USRP N210] || 21 24 || Interface type || Gigabit Ethernet || 22 25 || Device ID || eth2 || 23 26 || Driver || [http://code.ettus.com/redmine/ettus/projects/uhd/wiki/UHD_Linux UDH] || 24 27 25 Each networked USRP2 is attached to a node that has (third) dedicated Ethernet device (eth2) used solely for USRP related communciation.26 28 27 29 ==== USRP Deployment Maps ==== 28 30 29 ===== GRID ===== 31 ===== GRID ===== #grid 30 32 || Node Coordinate || Device type || RF Daughter Boards (side A) || RF Daughter Boards (side B) || 31 33 || ![1,1] || USRP2 || [https://www.ettus.com/product/details/XCVR2450 XCVR2450] || - || … … 77 79 || ![20,19] || [https://www.ettus.com/product/details/USRP-PKG USRP] || [https://www.ettus.com/product/details/XCVR2450 XCVR2450] || [http://www.ettus.com/product/details/WBX WBX] || 78 80 79 ===== SB3 ===== 81 ===== SB3 ===== #sb3 80 82 81 83 || Node Coordinate || Device type || RF Daughter Boards (side A) || RF Daughter Boards (side B) || … … 83 85 || ![1,2] || || [https://www.ettus.com/product/details/XCVR2450 XCVR2450] || - || 84 86 85 ===== SB5 ===== 87 ===== SB5 ===== #sb5 86 88 87 89 || Node Coordinate || Device type || RF Daughter Boards (side A) || RF Daughter Boards (side B) ||
