Supported CM Types
| CM Type | Description |
| 1 | Original Gen 1 nodes (Rabbit based) |
| 2 | Not a real CM. Used when nodes do not have a CM. Always answers "OK". |
| 3 | Lantronix based CM in standard nodes |
| 4 | Future Raspberry Pi based CM for use in standard nodes |
| 8 | Racktivity PDU ??? |
| 9 | IPMI interface (eg. CUDA machines in grid) |
| 10 | Pi-PDU in MIMO rack, multiple "nodes" powered by single supply |
| 11 | Self-contained Nutaq SDR nodes controlled over serial via Raspberry Pi |
| 12 | VMs managed by Libvirt, nodes by name rather than port # |
