Setup an ORBIT-like testbed
In the following link, someone can find a detailed documentation about setting up an ORBIT-like testbed, as we collected it thought the procedure of setting up our own testbed in Witest Lab of Polytechnic Institute of NYU.
The documentation includes three parts: Hardware setup, Software and Service and the Chassis Manager.
The interaction between nodes and servers during the period of image loading is unveiled and can be helpful to better understand the internal design of the testbed.
For nodes with motherboard model MB770, you may need to upgrade BIOS before they are mounted on the testbed.
If the nodes are not equipped with CM card, there is an alternative way to get around.
Experimenter can customize their own frisbee images.
Some skills are also listed below for maintaining the testbed.
