New ORBIT Management Framework release

ORBIT developers are pleased to announce release of ORBIT Management Framework (OMF) version 4 which brings a lot of new features and improvements including:

• Increased resilience to node failures
• Support for topology creation
• Ability to map topologies to the grid by using filtering (ebtable,iptables and mackill)
• Inventory support
• Support for arbitrary command execution
• Significantly expanded tutorials
• Numerous bug-fixes

Documentation was upgraded to reflect all these changes. Your comments, bug reports, patches and suggestions are more than welcome and will help fix problems and improve future versions.

All of the default testbed commands as well as baseline images were upgraded to use the new framework. As always, the old version of the framework is still available by running nodehandler3, imageNodes3 and saveNode3
