The Project
Objectives/Applications:
Gather data about the radio spectrum usage in a building.
- transmitter types
- frequencies
- protocols
- packet destinations
- likely locations of transmitters
Optimize and identify network usage.
- collect/analyze spectrum usage
- predict when frequencies will be open
- identify unknown devices on the spectrum
Experiment:
12 Variations:
- 3 Bit Rates (10, 30, 50 mbps)
- 4 Binary Files (all 0s, all 1s, alternating 01s, random)
Written with Python using Orbit grid:
- Node21-x =⇒ Data Gatherers
- USRPs =⇒ Listeners
- Atheros_AR5212_AR5213 =⇒ Wifi Cards
